1. Electrochemistry of Hydrogen peroxide on Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotube/Polyaniline composites modified electrodeA new and simple method has been developed to modify glassy carbon electrode (GCE) with composite thin film of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and Polyaniline (PAN). The conductivity and stability of polyaniline could be improved by MWNTs. In addition, Polyaniline was formed on the surface MWNTs and connected with each other, which improved stability of the composites. Furthermore, the synergistic action between them could enhance the conductivity of the composites. Multi-walled carbon nanotube/polyaniline composites modified glassy carbon electrode could catalyze the reduction of hydrogen peroxide over a wide potential window from 01.2V(vs. SCE). Cyclic voltammetry and amperometry were used to investigate the effect of applied potential and pH values on the electrochemical behavior of hydrogen peroxide. The current response increased linearly with the concentration of hydrogen peroxide over the range from 0.01mmol·L-1 to 40mmol·L-1 in phosphate buffer (pH=5.5), with a correlation coefficient of 0.99994, and the detection limit was 0.005 mmol·L-1 (S/N=3). The composites may find potential applications in biosensors based on determination of hydrogen peroxide.2.
