Along with the improvement of IT, it becomes necessary to collaborate within an enterprise and between enterprises. Different partners often utilize different tools to model business processes, which generate corresponding specifications. Those specifications vary from terms to structures. It brings in bad generality and expansibility to purely create transfer interface between two process models. In order to solve this problem, the theory of workflow process model integration is introduced.Workflow process model integration refers to integrate variety of process models onto a universal platform, through which interoperation and collaboration are implemented. In this dissertation, domestic and foreign research is deeply analyzed; the basic thoughts of process model integration are systematically summarized. On the base of them, OntoMid intermediate process model is presented. Process model integration scheme based on ontology is deeply studied. Transfer methods and key algorithms, which form the cores of process model integration, are particularly designed, taking XPDL process model and BPEL4WS process model for example. An integration platform based on Java programming technology is given. At last, the application of integration scheme is presented according to the project experience.
