Along with the micromation of computer and the development of electronic and communication technology, the burgeoning Fieldbus Control System becomes the development trend of industrial control system.In this paper, after analyzing the actuality of civil industrial automation control system and researching the hiberarchy and transport protocols of the metrical control network based on fieldbus in detail, we designed a universal metrical control platform suitable for small-scale real-time applications which require high reliability based on CAN bus.The universal metrical control platform connects the upper computer and the CAN bus via CAN communication interface card, actualize the data conversion between CAN and other kind buses via conversion card.During the debuging works, we connected Mitsubishi FX and Siemens S7-200 as control objects to the metrical control network via their RS485/422 interfaces. Completed the initialization of CAN parameter for the communication card and conversion card by compile setting program. Designed communication program to actualize the supervision and control of Programmable Logic Controllers by upper computer.The universal metrical control platform can connect various CAN nodes to form metrical control network. It can also connect other kind nodes (such as industrial control units, intelligent nodes, intelligent building units and telecommunication nodes) that have RS485/422 or Profibus interfaces, be widely used in various metrical control area.
