In optic communication field, for the marked characteristics of high gain, broad gain bandwidth, having phase sensitivity, can creating idler bandwidth and so on, the fiber-optic parametric amplification based on fiber nonlinear effect has arisen people's attention. Fiber-optic parametric amplification has very high conversion efficiency, furthermore, because it based on passive fiber, so the conversion bandwidth was very wide, and the noise index in the course of conversion was very small, it is a technic, which is superior and can be applied in the all-optical wavelength conversion of future All-Optical transmission network. Using fiber-optic parametric amplification can realize most all-optical operations in optic communication, fiber-optic parametric amplification will have wide and important application in density wavelength division multiplexer system and all-optical network.The work of this thesis has four parts:First, we described the basic theory of lightwaves transmitting in fiber in detail. The contents relate to the nonlinear characteristic, dispersion of fiber, the theory of four wave mixing, phase matching in four wave mixing and so on. Since fiber-optic parametric amplification is based on three-order nonlinear effect of fiber, so by combining with the theory of four wave mixing, the thesis introduced how to begin with Maxwell equations to elicit the nonlinear coupling equations of signal, pump and idler transmitting in fiber synchronously under the condition of little signal analysis, these equations are the basic to discuss fiber-optic parametric amplification.Second, we introduced a new style of fiber-photonic crystal fiber, it has three main advantages compared with traditional single mode fibers: 1). It supports single mode transmission in a large frequency extension; 2). It allows to change the effective area of fiber core to strengthen or weaken nonlinear effects; 3). The dispersion and the dispersion slope of fiber can be designed agilely, and also the zero dispersion wavelength can be changed. Photonic crystal fiber is good for fiber-optic parametric amplification optimization and has a interesting foreground because of it's advantages, so recently, the research of fiber-optic parametric amplification using photonic crystal...
