The optimized design for the main assembly materiel logistics provides a new chance for automobile assembly plant to overcome the problem between efficient pipelining and inefficient materiel freight. From the angle of managerial operational research, the system of the bus-assembly line materiel logistics in this paper is devoted to solve line-side inventory supplement and vehicle scheduling problem which have to be determined in plan function step at the level of operation in logistics management.In China, however, whether the research on logistics or the application in the strategies involving line-side inventory control and vehicle scheduling appear weak in current rapidly developing logistics research and practice. Consequently, this paper is committed by Zhonghua logistics department of Brilliance automotive and meant to discuss the problem of bus-assembly line materiel logistics theoretically, and illustrate the conclusion of discussion in practice. In order to achieve this goal, this paper arranges contents as follows.First, this paper introduces its research background, theoretical and practical significance, its research objects, sphere and characteristics on the basis of the analysis and summary of corresponding literature. Then it introduces the general solution of materiel logistics, two-phase method, namely, dividing it into two sub-problems of inventory supplement and vehicle scheduling, then solving respectively these sub-problems in the two consecutive phases.Secondly, this paper divides a whole distribution region into many working location subsets by radius-circle partitioning method, determines the approximate number of the vehicle of service distribution region, and provides the predetermination for the vehicle scheduling problem.Afterwards, in the second phase, based on the inventory supplement plan in the first phase, this paper transforms the sub-problem in this phase into vehicle scheduling problem with time window constrains. And designed a new chromosome structure for the possible situation of gene repetition, which can not be solved in tradition genetic algorithm. Also a mixed-crossmethod was applied to re-organize genes in chromosomes to make a final complete inventory supplement and transportation plan.Lastly, this paper testifies the conclusions of theoretical discussion by several OOS locations, and illustrates the efficiency of solutions in every phase, the decision continuity between phases and the guidance significance of final solution to practical distribution operation.
