By electronic circuits' simulation workbench (Orcad Pspice9.2), the paper researched onspatio-temporal behaviors of coupled map lattices (CML), pinning control of spatio-temporalchaos in CML and synchronization of spatio-temporal chaos in open coupled map lattices(OCML) with active-passive method.Firstly, the circuit of the CML spatio-temporal system was established, whose cell sub-circuit was made up of the logistic map circuit. The spatio-temporal behaviors of this CMLcircuit system could be observed easily by the Pspice.Secondly, the scheme of control spatiotemporal chaos in CML by pinning nonlinearfeedback is implemented. Simulation result shows that the circuit system is controlled to thedesired states (a fixed point or 2-period). It experimentally confirms that it is effective tocontrol the spatio-temporal chaotic system by the pinning control.Thirdly, we successfully control spatio-temporal chaos in CML by various pinning signalsuch as linear feedback, prediction feedback and double feedback. The experimental resultsare in good agreement with the ones obtained by simulating numerically and analyzingtheoretically.Finally, another circuit of OCML spatio-temporal system was established and the schemeof spatiotemporal chaotic synchronization of this circuit with active-passive method isimplemented. The synchronization conditions are given for any size in theory anddemonstrated in the experiment. The simulation results are in agreement with the onesobtained by simulating numerically and analyzing theoretically.The results we have achieved on controlling and synchronizing spatio-temporal chaoticsystems via circuits' simulation will undoubtedly provide important experimental guide forthe practical application of controlling and synchronizing spatio-temporal chaotic systems.
