Design Of Network Communication System Based On DSP Real-Time Operation System

With the maturity of the relay protection and fault information system, some new improved system principles and plans are being applied to a more practical application, this will increase demands on the hardware. Presently, the PC+Windows platform is the main application of the relay protection and fault information system, however, the system's integration and stability do not meet the actual needs. In view of this situation, the sub-station protection supervisor, network communication system of relay protection and fault information system is chosen, proposed a set of hardware platform to submit the DSP chip as the core, and adopt a design project which use a real-time operating system.Based on the researching RTOS (Real-time Operation System) μC/OS-Ⅱ and DSP TMS320VC5416 technology, the following hardware and software scheme is proposed.The hardware design proposal and the scheme and method of the hardware design are introduced in detail, outlining the function of each module. The DSP chip, which is made by TI Incorporated, is adopted as the core-processing unit.In terms of software design, an open-source RTOS μC/OS-Ⅱ is mainly adopted. In this thesis, it clearly illuminated a software design project based on the RTOS μC/OS-Ⅱ and in particular analyzed the kernel principles;it edited a part of hardware-related code, and put μC/OS-Ⅱ into DSP board. At the base of the embedded TCP/IP stack, lwIP is applied to μC/OS-Ⅱ, which expands its functionality and writes the related network driver on lwIP. In the last section, a TI DSP code composer studio and the process of DSP software development are introduced, the μC/OS-Ⅱ and lwIP network functions are also analyzed.
