Conceptual Design Information System For Plastic Products Based On The Meta Search Engine Technology

The status of the plastic making industry is huge output, varieties of category, but little creativity. It is eager to import industrial design technology to improve this situation. In the industrial design technology, the period of conceptual design is the origin of industrial design and the base of product creation. But lack of design information and defect of traditional information collecting method strongly block the process of conceptual design. So, this article aims to build the information system, conceptual design information system for plastic product based on the meta search engine technology. This system enables designers to establish the product conceptual design model, according to the information which the system supplies, such as marketing information, patent information, product style information and so on. For this purpose, the main content of our research includes design information collecting and analyzing. About the information collecting technology, we use Web Service instead of HTML analysis, because it is more effective and convenience. About analyzing technology, it is different of search engine, and the system can offer information automatically, according to the user's setting. It's introduced as follows:In the 1^st part, the aim of our research is depicted from the view of domain requirement. Furthermore, the content and status in quo of this research are analyzed and the train of thought is brought forward.In the 2^nd part, the key research is on design information in product design. It demonstrates the meaning, character and category of design information in theory area.In the 3^rd part, the key research is on the information collecting technology based on web service. This technology is implemented by crawler program and search engine API which uses web service technology. In the paper, it takes the Google API as example, and shows the details in implement.In the 4^th part, it demonstrate the analyzing technology in mate search engine, including database choosing, text choosing and fusion algorithms.In the 5^th part, it give the conceptual design of the system, and the implements in details.In the end, all of the contributions are summed up and the conclusions about the works are drawn. Moreover, it discusses some unsolved problems and future research works.
