Distributed Control System (DCS) is a mature and advanced industrial process control system and it is used by many large enterprises in our country. But it has not been used in small and medium industrial enterprises because of the cost and servicing. This restrict raising industrial enterprise's automated control level in our country. In contrast many Euramerican enterprises have highly automated level notwithstanding they are small-scale. At present in our country small and medium enterprises can't raise automation level quickly because of the limited budget. In this background, an improved automatic control system base on DCS is put up in this paper.Traditional DCS's feature and the Fieldbus is discussed in this paper. The DCS's shortcoming is also mentioned in the paper. The improved system discussed in the paper was separated into three layers: Monitoring layer, Controlling layer, Spot layer. Contrast with traditional DCS, there is an obvious improvement in spot device layer. In this system traditional spot transmitter is replaced by embedded microprocessor. Then spot device will be controlled and real-time data will be collected in Spot layer. So it can reduce Controlling layer's load and distribute risks. Digital signal can be transmitted faster and resist outside interfere in the whole system. The cost is reduced in this syetem .In the paper's final part the system's interface hardware and spot anti-disturbance method are expounded. Based on the "Powder automatic crush and classified system" the circuit hardware and software are accomplished.Above all this system can be broken up into many independence control unit with embedded microprocessor. So it can reduce Controlling layer's load, distribute risks and make the system much more flexible.
