Huge building energy consumption makes architecture energy conservation to be imperative.We should carry out building energy consumption simulation in appraisement and design of architecture energy conservation. Solar radiation is vital in building energy simulation. The solar radiation data used in simulation of building energy consumption came from abroad mostly,and the data have strong region character. So the data dose not apply to our application. Time that carries out solar radiation measure is short,area is few, which result in the radiation data quality is not so good in China. Therefore research on solar radiation data of our country has important meaning.This paper base on meteorology data between 1971 — 2000 on the 208 basic stations of nation-wide.This paper put forward using regional partition method to study the spatial rule of the solar radiation in China according to clearness index, latitude and elevation. After getting solar radiation distribution visualization technology be used to displayed solar radiation distribution.When calculating the clearness index the solar global radiation must be used.But only 120 stations in 208 basic meteorological stations have the solar global radiation of actual measurement. In order to calculate the clearness index of other 88 stations,the sunshine model and space interpolation model were compared and discussed.The suitable occasion to each model and advantages/disadvantages of two models were obtained.The conclusion of sunshine model have higher accuracy was gained.Then sunshine model was used to calculate the clearness index of the 88 stations that have no value of actual measurement. Paper use Ward clustering method to carry out regional partition for 208 stations.By analysing the distribution result is close to actuality.The dirtribution result is stored in digital form, is a abstract result inconveniently to be used. A visual system for solar radiation distribution was constructed on visual platform VTK.This system that was constructed by texture technology can directly read resource of solar radiation distribution result,then shows distribution result on nation-wide map, with the form of colored area. The visualization result can been regarded to be clear and get very good application .At the same time visualization also is a kind of validity of district result that proved the distribution result is effective.
