Embedded technology is widely applied in the areas such as industry, control, communication, and consumer products. So it is developing very rapidly. The development of Embedded Real-time Operate System(RTOS) is especially excellent. There are some excellent and open-code RTOS, such as Linux and μC/OS-II etc. μC/OS-II will be used widely in the industry because of its simple kernel, high real-time and credibility.The paper presents the author's work in research of μC/OS-II and application of LAN91C111 based on TMS320LF2407A embedded operating system.Firstly, the paper introduces the RTOSs' function, evaluative feature, development and future. Also, it analyses the development and characteristic of RTOSs in china, compared with other countries.Next, most content of the thesis focuses on μC/OS-II kernel and its application. Amending part of μC/OS-II system kernel, and porting it to the TMS320LF2407A DSP processor. The paper discusses the way and steps and questions in the process of porting.Sequentially, the paper sets up the Ethernet interface using the 10/100Mbps LAN91C111 chip in SMSC company and exploits the ground driver. And expands and improves some functions of μC/OS-II. All of these efforts have prepared to discuss farther problems such as: the function expansion for RTOS, the connection between DSP and Ethernet, the implementation of Web server, etc.Finally, the paper summarizes the work and disscusses the shortages, then makes a future sight of future research.
