In the recent year,with the development of industry and agriculture production,the status of the environment pollution brought by the industry garbages,the living sewage and the excessive fertilizer become worse and worse, especially,the water pollution has been the focus people concerned.As an indication criterion of the water qualities,the dissolved oxygen become more and more important.The concentration of the dissolved oxygen is determined by the balance between water and air, it will reduce when the water is polluted by organic or inorganic deoxidized substance. If the oxygen in the water does not be supplied in time, the concentration of dissolved oxygen will reduce gradually, and it even goes to zero. Along with the anaerobic bacterium propagates and the water quality deterioration, fishes and shrimps are led to die. In order to protect the ocean environment and aquiculture, it is important to probe the status of the seawater dissolved oxygen at any moment.It is always an important task in the analyse chemistry field that how to probe the concentration of the dissolved oxygen exactly, continuously and rapidly.Thus,the dissolved oxygen detected methods which utilize the chemistry theories and instruments firstly appeared in the chemistry field and called these chemistry detecting methods. However,with the development of other subjects,such as optics, electronics, mechanics and computer science,to probe the concentration of the dissolved oxygen is not the problem which rely on the single chemistry means. Because of its quick , simple and convenient traits,the instrument dectecting methods, which integrate with other subjects knowledge,become the research hotspot in the dissolved oxygen detected field gradually.A Seawater Dissolved Oxygen Detector based on the Fluorescence Quenching Principle,which is popular in the chemistry world,is introduced in this article,the professional knowledge of chemistry, optics, electronics, mechanics and computer science is integrated into the design of this detector,and the photoelectric effect is firstly utilized to probe the concentration of the dissolved oxygen,and a new detecting method is provided. Also,the system design of the novelty method and the realization of the hardware and software system is described.We hope this newmethod is beneficial to the system designe of the dissolve oxygen and facilitate the development of the dissolved oxygen detected technology.
