Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (In-SAR) is nowadays a focus ofresearch in the remote sensing area and has attracted many researchers' interests. Thisis due to the fact that it has many advantages over other imaging methods, such aslarge coverage, high spatial resolution, high elevation accuracy, and the capability ofworking at all time and under all-weather conditions. It is the most effective methodto acquire the 3D Digital Elevation Models (DEMs). Interferometric SyntheticAperture Radar (In-SAR) has evolved to satisfy a variety of applications for bothcivilian economy and military users with its fine two-dimensional resolutioncapability and possibility of day/night operation in all weather.Based on this background and the practical requirement of our study, weinvestigated the algorithms of In-SAR imaging both theoretically and practically.Phase unwrapping is a critical step of In-SAR imaging. Based on previous work doneby an old student, we did some further research on phase unwrapping problem bymultigrid method. The work is mainly focused on weighted multigrid method andRegion-Growing method .We Analyzed advantage and disadvantage of two methodsand Furthermore, not only simulated data but also authentic data are used in ourexperiments, and many meaningful results are obtained.The main contents of the dissertation are described as following:Firstly, a brief introduction of the purpose, background and significance of theworks in the dissertation is concerned.Chapter 2 introduces mathematical principle of InSAR imaging, factors thataffects quality of InSAR image and progress that deals with InSAR Data. It is veryimportant to disposal of InSAR image that we understand this knowledge.In chapter 3, we introduce ERS1/ERS2 , original InSAR data and parameter.Chapter 4 is very important a chapter. Two-dimensional phase-unwrappingalgorithm is this paper's leading study content. Phase-unwrapping is one of importantsteps that dispose InSAR image. The precision of phase-unwrapping directly affectsprecision of interference measure result. So study of phase-unwrapping method isgrate significance to enhance the precision of ultima measure result.Finaly, Summary.
