Microstrip antennas is especially suited for conformal applications because of its characteristic。 Not only the traditional aerial-astro-industry has strong demand to the high-performance conformal microstrip antennas, but also the comprehensive applictiaons in mobile communication etc, as the rapid development of science and technology.The cavity model is used in this paper to analyze the frequency characteristic and the impedance characteristic of the rectangular patch. The dyadic Green's function's method is adopted to obtain the radiation patterns of the patch. The dyadic Green's functions on the dielectric coated conducting cylinder is deduced. By using the Saddle-point integration, far field asymptotic expressions of dyadic Green's functions are obtained. Using the cavity model, the magnetic currents on the surface of the cylinder are obtained, thus we get the radiation pattern of the E plane and H plane of the rectangular patch by integration.The cylindrical conformal microstrip array are discussed , In the circumferential direction of the cylindrer, we find the curve array's radiation pattern not only associated with the dimension , space between,but also associated with the radiation pattern of the antennas uint. In the axial direction of the cylindrer, the affect of the space between to the line array is discussed, further more, the causation and the elimination method of the grating lobe are discussed.The mutual coupling between conformal antennas array is very important .It influenced the radiation pattern and input impedance of the conformal antennas. Using the method of Green's function, the coupling between conformal antennas is analyzed. The mutual coupling between the E plane and the H plane are calculated, and the effect of the curvature and space between to the mutual coupling are discussed.
