With the development of modern communications and militaryaffairs , the studies on the conformal antenna----which can be mountedon the carriers----have been reported more and more in recent years . Itcan not merely offer antenna performances which are required, but also bring little influence on the aerodynamics character of the carrier itself. Though it is true that the conventional antennas theory is done well, there are many difficulties in computing the radiation characters of a conformal antenna:i) the shape of the antenna is changed, and the characters are also changed;ii) more especially, the carrier itself brings the great influence on the characters of the antennas. And most of the current computing methods cannot solve it easily. The problem is more prominent when the operating frequency is high.According to the reasons above, a high-efficient method which has enough precision is strongly needed. In this dissertation, a Cavity-Model method is used to compute the pattern results of several types of microstrip antennas first. Compared with the results of integral equation method, it is more effective and has good precision; the different types and excitation modes can also make the antennas be used to different purposes. Then a GTD(Geometrical Theory of Diffraction)method is used to modify the pattern of the unit which is gotten in Cavity-Model method, and the results are helpful to arrange the array, including E-plane and H-plane. Changing the excitation phase can make the main beam scanning. Finally, GTD is applied again to get the effect of mutual coupling, which makes the beam-scanning more accurate.
