An inversion technique based on Genetic Algorithm for obtaining ionosphere layer parameters from vertical incidence and oblique ionograms are studied in this dissertation. Using GA, the inversion algorithm for the QPS layer parameters from vertical ionograms are presented. Simultaneously , the algorithm is checked by using real ionograms, which shows better accuracy and ability to antinoise than the results of ARTIST software. Similarly , QP layer parameters from oblique ionograms are discussed . Considering the effect of ionospheric transverse inhomogeneous variation , ray paths are discussed by using the step-changing ray tracing technique and the Genetic inverse method for simplified 2-D ionospheric model is presented. Lastly, on the base of filtering noises from oblique ionograms, echo traces are separated with slop extrapolation technique,with which the possibility of Genetic inverse are preliminary discussed.
