With the rapid development of computer technology and the constant enlargement of the application domain, the DBMS (Database Management System) grew continually. The representative DBMS such as DB2, Oracle, Sybase, and SQL Server, has been released to its newer version from time to time, which means database technology becomes more mature. One application may have its data stored in distributed different databases. This phenomenon subsequently leads to some new problems, such as, the concurrency and integrality in different databases. With the rapid increase of the wireless and mobile devices'applications, data communication in the wireless mobile devices has been thought of one of the hottest application fields in the next five years, because the wireless and mobile devices has so much virtues, such as light, mobile, cheap, that people hope the data stored in computer database can exchange with it directly. To resolve such problems, a new common data synchronization model—MDBSM (Multiple Database Sync Model) is proposed. Considering of the limit storage of wireless and mobile devices, a light embedded database is used in the model. The mobile device use a common data transfer protocol to exchange data with the enterprise database server. This model is based on a data sync protocol named SyncML, and has been implemented in a practical system. The system is based on the project—"Sale Management Systems"of the Shanghai SongBang electric Incorporation. The main researches in the thesis list below:Summarize the total development of data synchronization technology in both domestic and abroad, and then analyze the products and protocols of data synchronization at present. Research the component and key technology of SyncML protocol thoroughly, improve the origin conflict resolution mechanism. A new common multiple database synchronization model—MDBSM is proposed, it can be used in common data exchange in isomerous databases. Implement MDBSM in the practical project, and a lot of tests and analyses has been done to guarantee its effectivity and efficiency. By a large range test of experiments, the MDBSM model proved to be work fine and fit for real requirement.
