| Recent years, ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) technology hasmade a great progress worldwide. The Video Traffic Detection Systemresearched in this paper is an important part of ITS. This system is used toacquire any needed information in traffic management using imageprocessing technology.Firstly, this paper introduces simply the domestic and overseasgeneral situation of the development of the Video Traffic DetectionSystem. Then, this paper introduces the whole system design. Lastly, thispaper mainly researches the hardware architecture of the Video TrafficDetection System Board.The Video Detection Board is mainly composed of three parts, whichrespectively are video A/D convert circuit, digital video collection interface andPCI bus interface. The video A/D convert circuit is accomplished by videodecoder SAA7114H, which converts the analog video signal to digital videosignal. The core chip of the Video Detection Board is the general purpose digitalsignal processor TMS320C6211 of TI company, which receives the digital videosignal coming from the video A/D convert circuit through the digital videocollection interface, accomplishes the collection of of digital video stream,computes the traffic information in real time, and initializes and controls otherchips. The Video Detection Board communicates with host through PCI interface.The Video Detection Board utlizes the PCI-HPI bridge chip PCI2040 of TIcompany to accomplish PCI bus protocol. The host interfaces with the DSP HPIthrough PCI2040, and the host can access all the space of DSP through the HPI toaccomplish the control of the board and the communication of data.This paper has lucubrated the chips such as video decoder SAA7114H,C6211 DSP and PCI-HPI bridge chip PCI2040 etc. This paper introduces indetails the design of each part of the video detection board mentioned above andthe design of other parts of the hardware circuit. |
