Research And Implementation Of XML-based Data Transaction In Electronic Commerce Platform E-Hub

AS XML becomes the standard of data expression on Internet, a large number of XML data are emerging constantly. In this case, how to store and how to manage these data become a study focus. At present, almost all enterprises use databases to manage their internal data. In order to interchange data between these different enterprises, a unique data describing method is necessary. So it is a very important subject for research to combine XML and database, and to utilize their respective advantages--using database to store and manage XML data and using XML to describe relational data. This paper is based on the data processing requisition of Electronic Commerce platform based on RosettaNet standard, and researches XML-based data transformation. It focuses on the problems related with the transformation of structure and semanteme between XML document and relational database. The main contributions of this paper are as follows: (1) An improved transformation method, DTD-based optimized document tree, is promoted. This method improves some DTD graphs and mapping rules, and preserves the DTD semanteme. (2) An improved method which preserves relational schema's integrality restraint is put forward. Its advantages are dividing a complex relational schema into some small subschemas, improving mapping rules of from relational schema to XML schema, and preserving the integrality constraint of relational database. (3) A data integrated system DataHub, which takes DTD-based transformation between XML document and database as the core is designed and implemented. The significance of this paper is to solve the interchanging problems between XML document and database, and is to offer a feasible solution for B2B application information integration. The transformation system can be used to build a uniform interface of data storing and accessing.
