The RosettaNet e-business process standards were presented by RosettaNet in 1998. With the three main standards RosettaNet Implementation Framework (RNIF), Partner Interface Processes (PIPs), and Dictionary, RosettaNet could facilitate speed, efficiency, and reliability to enable greater collaboration and communication between trading partners. This paper presents a new B2B solution based on RAE(RosettaNet Automated Enablement).According to the differences between the Big Enterprise Central Integration and Small Partner Self Integration, the paper designs two frameworks for different needs. The new solution redeploys the RNIF gateway in the small partner view to implement RNIF standards. It brings a new XML adapter to deal with the fine grained PIPs data, using Xpath query to retrieve the XML element then operate it to process the XML document. It includes an Extend framework based on the JMS and Message Driven Bean to integrate external functional module to the solution. An implement application based on the new RAE solution was developed at last. The application was tested on a QA environment. The RNIF gateway make the communication between partners follow the RNIF package format, ensures security and flexibility. The new XML adapter is operable and shows high effiency in the test. Four external function modules were integrated in the solution through the Extend framework. The new solution is a full RosettaNet implementation on the small partner side while it kept the advantages of RAE. It points out the way for RAE solutions.
