An Design Of IAD Based On MGCP

The IP phone using VoIP technology is the result of the combination of such chief technology, the packet technology on network taking IP as its sign, and the integrating technique of services on network taking real-time media transmission as its goal. It has become the joint of traditional telecom and IP network, mutually supplying each other's advantages. The IAD(Integrated Access Device) based on MGCP protocol in the NGN(Next Generation Network) has been researched in the thesis. The design project and the realization of some part based on MGCP protocol were given. The application of the IAD were introduced. And the function of the IAD was put forward through comparing some IADs in the market. Media Gateway Control Protocol , H.323 and Session Initiation Protocol were introduced in the thesis.The MGCP was compared with other VoIP control protocols. The design thought that MGCP protocol was used in the IAD design in the thesis was put forward. The design blue print of the software system and hardware system was depicted. How to choose the primary chip was depicted. And the design about module of the hardware system was put forward. The software design uses the technique that the whole software system was designed in blocking. The design means makes the IAD used easily and the IAD software system can be designed for more function in the future easily. So the IAD designed in the thesis must have more market value. And the realization about the protocol stack module was depicted too. The means that designing some program for simulating the controlling call function of the Media Gateway Control was adopted. The goal of the means adopted is to test the design of the call control module. In the last chapter, the author summarized the work done in the thesis, and put forward some perspective views tailor to problems about security which exists in the IAD.
