Until today, to establish the experiments of the course "signal and linear system"is a very hard task, for the costliness of the equipment and the difficulty of the experiment itself. People always make use of analog equipment to establish the circuits. But the agility and real-time characteristic is always undesirable because of the limit of the real component and circuit. Besides, many unreadable formulas are also hard to demonstrate in this kind of experiment. In recent years, to get over the difficult of establishing the experiments, making use of computer to simulate experiments is becoming international tide. By using computer simulative software, it's not only quite easy to simulate data computing and signal analyzing, but also vividly demonstrate the nonfigurative concept and theory through character, sound, dynamic figure and friendly interface. Although the computer simulative software has its own superiority, it could not totally replace the real experiment. For it's short of real experimental means and environment. Here, an equipment of experiment for signal and system based on DSP is developed. It adopts a method that combines both the software and the hardware. The results of experiment could be shown on the oscillograph when users operate on the host PC. The whole simulative experiment system consists of two parts. That is, simulative software system running in host PC which straightly face the users, and an experimental board based on DSP, which is running as a terminal server. An interface on host PC is developed, for exhibiting all the experiment contents. And users can also do their experiments on it. A DSP system is used to communicate with host PC, which computes the experimental data that users have input, and shows the result on an oscillograph. Host PC communicates with terminal server (DSP system) through the serial communicate port. By this method that melts the real hardware environment into the simulative software experiments, it could makes the whole simulative experiment system more approach real experiment. Therefore, the users will feel in a real experimental environment, and get a farther understanding of the signal processing.
