Data Movement Service Research Base On Load Balance Under Grid Environment

Grid emerges as a new infrastructure for Internet-based parallel and distributed computing. Grid enables the sharing, exchange, discovery and aggregation of distributed resources across multiple administrative domains, organizations and enterprises. Data migration service in grid can realize the load balance of grid nodes and improve the answer speed of data request. In addition, it can enhance the run effect and service quality of the whole gridThe definition of grid, properties and the difference with current some network techniques are introduced in this paper, and besides, two popular architectures of grid are analyzed in the paper. Data movement service is one of the data management services under the grid environment. This paper mainly discusses the characteristics and the functions of grid data management. Aiming at load balancing, data movement service mainly contains copy management and catalog maintenance. Designs for service, achieving and performance are analyzed detailedly in this paper.
