Web Services is a new development technology of internet application software. With using various Web Services, people can customize programs which they need. Web Services use xml as foundation language to realize loosely couple in different database and OS.It is very common that various application programs which have been developed by various language and have running on various platform should been integrated in enterprise information system. The integration will cost much time and money. Although on the same platform, various softwares that were produced by various companies may be integrated. Through the Web Services, application program expose function and data to other application program. Based on this idea, this thesis discusses how to integrate the application program by means of Web Service. The thesis includes four parts:In Chapter 1,I briefly introduced two technology platforms: .NET and J2EE and compare the specialty of each platform. Then I introduce the peer component in different platform and several classical solution of integration in different platform and different component. Lastly I introduce the fundamental theory of integration, that is to say, data transform in different platform. I emphasize on the consistency of data type, especially the complex type.In Chapter 2, I introduce the .NET remoting technology, including binary communication and routing technology and the third running bridge (NBridgePro and Ja.NET.) used to integrate the .NET and J2EE application program. In Chapter 3, I introduce the Web Services from four aspects: technology background, application field, architecture, key technology. Then I introduce how to develop Web Service on .NET and J2EE platform respectively and compare the function of .NET and Web Services. In Chapter 4, I introduce the integration examples based on the WebSphere and .NET in detail.
