XMPP/Jabber Server Design And Implementation Based On ACE And Design Patterns

XMPP/Jabber system is XMPP/Jabber based instance messaging system. As the network technology blooms, network applications are developing quite fast and now there are so many sorts of network applications. And among all the network applications, Instant Messaging service is one of the most developed one. XMPP/Jabber system becomes popular since it's excellently open, extensible and safe. XMPP/Jabber technologies are hopeful to unite all instance messaging technologies, so to research XMPP/Jabber technologies are realistic and well-worth.This article analyses and discusses issues in constructing XMPP/Jabber systems from the analysis phrase, design phrase to implementation phrase, including performance, robustness, reusability and extensibility. An implementation is also provided for discussion purpose, which covers the basic requirements of XMPP.As a by-product, the XMPP/Jabber server project has been developed to an open-sourced project with the name "Jabberace" to maximize the value of this project.
