| The architecture for current image processing based on PC and Windows operation system on the market now has the shortcomings of high cost and big power consumption. This article introduces an embedded image processing system named IPP. Firstly, the article makes a brief description of the TI DM270 based hardware platform adopted by IPP and analysis of its advantages in the aspect of image processing. Secondly, it specifies the design and realization of the image collection module, image processing module and image display module in the IPP image processing. IPP adopts DSP in DM270 to accomplish image and digital signal processing, and ARM in DM270 for system management and control. ARM and DSP are connected and administered in a seamless way through the Linux operation system transplanted on such platform.In addition, the article also describes the software architecture of IPL platform system, provides methodology for IPL function extension with detailed realization proposal so as to make IPP a sustainable and accumulative platform. |
