Multi-Agent System is one of main research areas of Distributed Artificial Intelligence, and has become the most recent development direction of Artificial Intelligence. It attempts to use novel viewpoint and thought to understand, analyse and construct software system. Multi-Agent System has represented a new way of analysing, designing, and implementing distributed, intellectualized software systems, and has been praised as a significant breakthrough in the software development field.Multi-Agent System primarily mostly studies how a set of autonomous agents which are separate in the logical or physical position complete complex control or task solution through intelligent behavior such as interaction, cooperation, competition in distributed, open, and dynamic environment. Its goal is to realize good cooperation relations between Agents, therefore, research on cooperation holds the extremely important status in Multi-Agent research area.In this paper, the author first introduces the background and the related theory knowledge of Agent and Multi-Agent System, and discusses comunication that is the key technology of cooperation between agents, mainly studies comunication models based Knowledge Query and Manipulation Language(KQML). Based on the analysis of basic thought, run mechanism and shortcoming in traditional Contract Net Protocol (CNP), combining with advantage of KQML and CNP, the author provides a CNP model based comunication server. Following KQML standard criterion,we expand interaction performative which CNP needs in its run process and make up the lack of interaction performative in KQML. Combining with Eelectron Auction which is one typicl application instance of Agents cooperation, we discuss the work flow, and communication process of CNP model based comunication server, at last we validate this method is feasible by simulation experiment.
