Since this century, especially after inventions of laser and ligh t guide fiber, the archaic subject of polarized light has become vern al again, and developed quickly and extensively. Nowadays, polarized light technology has been applied not only in sensor, measurement, communication, calculation, remote sensing, but also in identification, biology chip and so on. As an important part of polarized light, pol arized image collection has been used widely in military affairs, agr iculture, medical treatment and chronometer. But in china , research a bout polarized image is just underway. In this thesis, we will study polarized image collection, put forward a scheme, which indicates how to produce an polarized image collect apparatus, which is we introdu ce a new style piezoelectricity material called PLZT as phase delay a pparatus, make use of CCD as light power detector, utilize FPGA to pr ocess light signal ingathered by CCD, then output video signal throug h professional video chip to CRT monitor in order to display polarize d image. At last we collect several polarized images and normal image s which composed of some man-made material such as plastic and foam a nd some inartificial material such as aluminum and iron . then compare each other to indicate the predominance of polarized image.
