The giant magnetostrictive transducer, using a giant magnetostrictive material as a main element, can transform electromagnetic energy into mechanical energy. It has many peculiarities such as compact configuration, thick energy-density, and big deferent power, and can be applied in biomedicine, military affairs recovery etc. Here we have carried out some research work about late-model driving system of the giant magnetostrictive transducer to develop the transducer.We have first made some experimental researches to the transducer including static behavior and dynamic behavior experiment, and have tested the characteristic parameters of static behavior and dynamic behavior. According to the experimental result, we analyzed the output character at various frequencies driving and found that the designed transducer has great reiteration. An appropriate work point has been confirmed and experimental gist for the following design of driving power has been afforded based on DSP.The driving system of the transducer has been designed. The digital control SPWM (modulate manner) has been introduced, then the article expounded work elements, controlling method and output character about inverter, analyzed every parts of inverter, built up mathematics model and MATLAB simulation model, made some simulation analysis.The hardware and software of control system have been designed. The hardware design finished the composing of the DSP controller including the clock circuit, the interface circuit of memorizer, driving circuit. The software design compiled digital control process of inverter in CCS circumstance including ameliorated PI control arithmetic, the creating of SPWM, implement of protecting, A\D sampling.
