Seismic Tomography Technical Research

Seismic Tomography is one of the important methods to research the interior earth.Especially in studying the earth structure under Moho interface, it can't be ignored. Withthe methods of ray tracing and datum about arrival time of the P-wave of teleseism, wecan inverse the velocity abnormal region under the surface. And then we can get thestructure information interior earth. As a result it is the base for our studying andinterpreting the interior earth. The origin of Seismic Tomography is from the medical CT.With the development in geoseiense, Seismic Tomography has gotten a big outcome andbeing acceptted by many people.In the first part paper, it introduces the principles of Seismic Tomography andanalyses the properties of seismic waves. It also introduces how to pick up the arrival timeof P-wave. Through the ACH arithmetic, it solves the nonlinear problems by translating itinto linear problems. And it gives the program codes by using Gauss-eliminant. Incomputing ray tracing aspects, it explains the normal methods and at the same time itgives its own methods in a 3D model which has been designed in Matlab software. Also itgives the man-machine conversation software which can draw the cut picture and helppeople analyse the velocity perturb variation.With the seismic data which was gotten in SinKiang, the last part of the paper givesthe tomography pictures along Fuyun-Kuerle by using the upper method. And it makes asimple interpretation. The datum which we used in this paper was gathered byseismometers loacted SinKiang region during 2002 and 2004 year.
