Fieldbus fusion has become a hot issue in the area of the industrial control currently. based on deeply analyze of the demand and realization method for fusion, and as far as the problems encountered during practical development concerned, new effective solutions are presented. Compared with the anterior method, this paper offers more interoperated and appears perfect.Fieldbus fusions branches out into fusions between homogeneous-protocols devices and fusions between heterogeneous-protocol devices.The key technologies of fieldbus fusions between homogeneous-protocols are analyzed. In the research of fusions between heterogeneous-protocol, in order to facilitate the reasonable and effective ways suitable for different fusions demand, two types of gateways are classified. Their principles, characteristics, application areas and development steps are analyzed as well. Since there is no universal standard in testing fusions, special fusion test system is designed for each type of fusions, respectively. It is of great value in developing own-pa tented fieldbus specifications in China.Considering that the existence and interfaces of information differ from one fieldbus to another, information-oriented fusion appears significant. After having analyzed characteristics and importance of multibus information-oriented fusion technologies, the author broke out the old fasion of fusion ways, and introduce a new technology to realize fieldbus fusion - usingOPC, which has received a big success. As far as the safety problems produced by fusion technology is concerned, several solutions are also provided.Finally, Petri net is adopted to emulate and evaluation the interconnection of fieldbus via Internet are tackled, which makes the emerging TCP/IP become the connective protocol. Thus new chance was brought up as well as challenger to fieldbus fusions.The innovations of this paper are:1. break through the traditional fusion method,using OPC to realize fieldbus fusion and received satisfying result;2. Try to use Petri net to investigated ICN, A brief emulation is given together with the evaluation methodology followed, which points out the direction of next generation's feildbus fusion.
