Moving Target Detection (MTD) is a hot topic in the area of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and plays an important role in both martial field and civilian field. This dissertation studies the multi-antenna SAR MTD especially ground slow moving targets, makes an improvement on it in order to get high detection probability and good focusing of moving target. After analyzing the theory of SAR and the model of still target echoes, the dissertation sets up the model of moving target and discusses in detail the effect of moving target on the echoes and the conventional SAR image. We summarize most methods of MTD and study in detail the multi-antenna SAR MTD based on displaced phase center antenna (DPCA). At last a new method of three-antenna SAR MTD by using the equivalent space-time echoes of array antenna is proposed in this paper. This method features significant clutter rejection and can perform the detection, location, velocity estimation and good focusing of ground slow moving targets. It has low requirement for calculation capability and is easily realized in engineering.
