This thesis briefly presents the dielectric resonator and emphasizes on the design of TE01 mode DR filters with transmission zeros.Firstly,the basic operation theories for the dielectric resonator are introduced and the basic characteristics for the TE01 mode of the dielectric resonator are studied by mode separation and improvement of Q factor. Based on these, a new dielectric resonator structure is put forth, which has a better mode separation without degradation of the Q factor in the interesting mode.Then, the design method for the single cavity dielectric resonator working in the TE01 mode and couplings between the cavities are given. After analysis on the cross-coupling between dielectric resonators loaded in cavities, an effective method to realize the cross-coupling is put forward. According to these theories, and taking the real devices into account, the design of an integrated TE01 mode dielectric resonator filter is completed with the design drawing's acquirement.At last, by measuring and tuning the microwave devices, the tuning methods and experiences of dielectric resonator filter are summarized, and the results validate the correctness of the design theories.
