A new class of dielectric resonator filters with in-line structure and pseudo elliptic response is developed and manufactured in this paper. The basic idea is using the design of pseudo elliptic response and 01TE? single-mode cross-coupled dielectric resonator filters. The three resonators are arranged in a straight line in a metal cavity, adding inclined metal rods between the resonators to produce the asymmetrical transmission zeros(TZs).In this paper, third order cross-coupled dielectric resonator filter is designed on the basis of the cross coupling filter design.Compared to conventional techniques,pseudo-elliptic filters can be implemented without using cumbersome cross-coupled architectures or reduced spurious performance multimode resonators. The work of this paper summarized as follows:1.The principle of microwave cross-coupled filters is in detail discussed. The structure and properties of the dielectric resonator, the basic theory of 01TE? single-mode dielectric resonators are introduced, and the paper are the evanescent mode waveguide resonator.2.Dielectric filter design is the focus of this paper, and coupling matrix is obtained according to design specifications.Cross coupling matrix are obtained by using Dedale-HF program of Matlab. The relationship between the distance of the two resonators and coupling coefficient is simulated by using the HFSS software and it finally determined the distance.Similarly, the relationship between the size of oblique bars and coupling coefficient is simulated by using the HFSS software. Finally, the size of the filter is designed by the HFSS simulation model and the best structure of the filter can be optimized by using HFSS software.3.The physical realization and measurement of the cross-coupled dielectric filters are described. The dielectric resonators are made of high dielectric constant ceramic material. The structure is fabricated according to the size of the simulation. The frequency response of the cross-coupled dielectric filter is tested using AgilentE5071 B.Compared with the simulation results, their curves are consistent. The cross-coupled dielectric filters meet the design requirements.
