Development Of The Embedded Intelligent Slave Station Based On PROFIBUS-DP Technology

At present, the embedded system has been applied widely in various fields such as military defense, consuming electronics, network communication, industrial control and so on, owing to its outstanding characteristics of small volume, high ability, low power consumption, high reliability and practicality for industries. Embedded-chip-based industrial automation device has wider space of development. Nowadays, embedded micro-controllers have found many uses in fields of industrial process control, digital control machine tool, electric power system, electric network security, electric network device monitor, petroleum chemical industrial system and so on.PROFIBUS has been widely using for its advantages such as its better communication real-time character, high transmission rate, low cost, flexible topological structure, high redundant, suitable for various kinds of industrial control field, etc. There are all kind of field equipment In order to connect various equipment to PROFIBUS fieldbus easily, select SPC3 chip of Siemens based on embedded theory,design PROFIBUS-DP Intelligent Slave Station. User's equipment can handy connect to PROFIBUS-DP fieldbus by intelligent slave station.This paper briefly introduces the embedded system and PROFIBUS protocol , makes deep research on IEC61I58 international standard, EN50170 European standard and the protocol rule of ASIC chip SPC3 from Siemens on the base of simple introduction about PROFIBUS protocol.The paper presents a scheme to develop embedded system intelligent slave station, by summarizing cases that former scholar investigated using microprocessor and SPC3 chip designed PROFIBUS-DP hardware interface electrocircuit.This paper mainly expatiate the design of the hardware and software on the embedded intelligent slave station . Provide circuit diagram of main circuit ,and show principle and merits. Design the interface programme and the application programme of intelligent slave station, and user protocol conversing programme , Realize user protocol conversion and unification in slave station. Discuss the reliability and the necessity of the user protocol conversion and unification in slave station in mis paper.
