In traditional software engineering, waterfall model was used. Today,in the condition that software scale is becoming lager and softwarecomplexity is increasing, tradition method can not adapt changingrequirements, which may make plan failed. Accordingly, this paperintroduces a new developing process, to remove risks and suit changingrequirements.Technologies have made a powerful support for enterprise construction.First, this paper introduces the character of enterprise application, andthen we narrate the contents of J2EE platform and RUP. The key goal ofJ2EE platform is to provide a standard development environment. It's thestandard and independence of platform that makes J2EE the first choicefor enterprise construction. RUP has many advantages than some otherdeveloping models have. RUP has good maneuverability and practicability.Its key goal is to help developers construct software with higher qualityin planning time and budget, at the same time, satisfying the user'srequirements. So it can solve the typical problem occurring in modernsoftware development. Aiming at J2EE enterprise construction, this paper researches thecustomization of RUP, using a practical case. RUP is a comprehensive flowframework;it deals with almost every aspect in software development.
