Grid computing has emerged as an important new field, distinguished from conventional distributed computing by its focused on large-scale resource sharing. The large-scale , distributed , heterogeneity and dynamic of grid resource increases its complexity and calls for higher and larger security requirement. Security is the key problem in grid research, and trust is the core. So researches on trust and trust models seem quite necessary. This paper first discusses the security requirement in grid environment, then offers the correlative definitions of trust. After that, compares and analyzes several existing trust models including their advantages ,disadvantages and fit range which well provides the foundation for the further research work. Based on the former analysis, a novel grid trust model combining the domain and independence of entities has been put forward. The model takes into account both the self-determination of grid entities and administrable of trust domain, realizes authentication in the initialization, regards trust recommendation as one type of the trade context for the first time. The model can achieve the unity of both identity authentication and behavior authentication. What's more, a new type grid architecture based on the trust management layer has been developed. Using this architecture, some security algorithms have been designed. Theoretical advantages new model over traditional models have also been analyzed. A series of emulational experiments have been carried out to compare the validity and veracity of the new model, the traditional model and the model based on domain. Results show that the new model can improve the trust veracity and trade success quotiety . The research work by this paper will provide a base for the further research on grid trust relationship and grid architecture.
