With the development of information system scale and software technology, the modeling of information system is no longer confined to the purely artificial way and people also need designing model with the auxiliary software tool. However, a good tool is often set up on an advanced modeling method and modeling ideas, it is important to improve the modeling method constantly. In the past, people often used the single method, such as Process-Oriented method (PO) and Object-Oriented method (OO), which have their natural limitations. In view of this point, a new modeling method based on behavior has been proposed in this article. This modeling method is based by two most extensive modeling methods at present –PO method and OO method. This method does not come from simply composition of PO method and OO method, but comes into being by organic combining of two methods, which realizes transform of them. This method is not only suitable for generally small-scale information system, but also for the large-scale information system, such as C4ISR system. It is because it accords with DoDAF standard. To prove the feasibility of the modeling method, supermarket shopping system model is be designed by this method. In this article, the author tries to describe the formulation method and steps of the visual modeling, which means to set up execution model firstly, and then to set up Petri network model. At last, simulation that can test the validation of model is needed. In the whole modeling process, all linked with one another between the models, which can keep the consistency between them. This method may promote development of modeling theory and the use of it will improve the efficient and the quality of modeling.
