Geological objects are effected by long-term and complicated force, so it is hard to rebuild geological objects, which is a research content faced by numerous scientific domain. With the concept of "Digital Earth"put forward and the development of modern space technology of information, visualization of the information of geological model has been a significant content now and a focus of research of geology. Through geological data to rebuild 3D-geological objects and simulate the real environment to set up a basis to display and spatially analyze geological information is an important content of Geographic information system and component of "Digital Earth". The 3D-visualization of geological objects has wide application backgrounds and been concerned by people recently. This paper first of all has discusses the effect to make Aid-decisions of design the parameters of piles in the pile foundation project and the influence of digital and information-based reconnaissance report to build 3D geological model. And it has introduced current technology, such as 3D-GIS, Visualization in Scientific Computing and Virtual Reality and methods of modeling of geological model. Finally, Aimed at 2D graph of topographic map, profile and block diagram, etc. made up of reconnaissance report, we can gain borehole data, the data of geological objects. Then pretreatment of these scatter data, namely interpolation, so we get data source of DEM, to build every DEM of stratums of rock or soil, lastly due to spacial topology of geological model, stack these DEMs and sew up the interfaces between the stratums to develop the system of multi-stratum model to display geological model. On the basis, observing and operating the model from different angle and methods to provide means of visualization for analyzing and evaluating geological condition of engineering. At the same time, setting up relevant database of geological information, to link 3D geological model to information in database for visual management and inquiry. Furthermore the paper introduce knowledge of OpenGL, 3D visual graph API, which how to apply in MFC and realization in multi-window.
