As an essence, Internet phenomenon can be expressed with three words: Search, Find and Obtain. The new network information environment has not only offered the new channel for access and obtaining of information, also changed the thoughts and way that people's information organization and retrieval to a great extent. In the network information environment, more and more traditional information resource are transferring to Internet, we are faced with a rapidly expanding information space. Organization and retrieval of increasing information resource become a big question of Internet, which need us to resolve it urgently.In the latest years, search engine has become a part of our lives. As the bridge of Internet to connect to the users, it played as a more and more important role, and became a basic and useful application in Internet. However, search engine are not always powerful in organizing and retrieving information, there are above half of information resource on Internet that search engine can't access, most of these resource, which we call them invisible information resource, are valuable.This paper is started with current application situation of the new network information environment, and has discussed the disadvantage of modern search engine.
