Lots of works, biographies, research selections and material have been published for Sun Yat-sen, a great man of China who has passed away for 80 years. Haven't had any articles specialized on Sun Yat-sen Literature, this is the first one to mention about the concept of Sun Yat-sen Literature which has a overall research on editing, publishing, collecting and the making use of Sun Yat-sen's works and Sun Yat-sen research literature.The article is divided into five parts:The first part is introduction which introduces the meaning of Sun Yat-sen Literature and the significance of the research on Sun Yat-sen Literature. Sun Yat-sen Literature in the narrow senses, the research of this article contains Sun Yat-sen's works and Sun Yat-sen research literature. According to the nature and the form of expression, Sun Yat-sen's works can be divided into works, statement, regulations, letters, telegraphs, speeches, dialogues, official documents, personnel appointment and removal and translation, etc. Sun Yat-sen research literature mainly consists of biography and research writings. The research on Sun Yat-sen literature covers significances of either theory or reality, which can be described as: A. Building the basic frame of Sun Yat-sen Literature. B. Encouraging research on Sun Yat-sen and his thoughts and providing clues and information for research of related fields such as history of 1911 Revolution, of Republic of China and of Kuomintang. C. Furthering development of Sun Yat-sen literature collection.The second part, "Editing and Publishing of Sun Yat-sen Literature", discusses the editing and publishing of Sun Yat-sen's works and Sun Yat-sen research literature, enumerates the typical and important works and research literature and reviews the key ones. The article gives a brief introduction for the counterfeit of Sun Yat-sen literature at the end of this part.The third part, "Collection of Sun Yat-sen Literature", introduces organizationswhich have rich collection of Sun Yat-sen literature at home and abroad, especially those of Guangdong, Shanghai, Nanjing, Beijing, Wuhan, Tainwan, Hongkong and Macao in China as well as those of Japan, the United States, Britain and southeast Asia.The fourth part, "Making Use of Sun Yat-sen Literature", introduces and analyses the use of Sun Yat-sen literature during the period of the Republic of China.Summarizing the characteristics of Sun Yat-sen literature, the conclusion discusses the defects of this article as well. The author focuses on information and description rather than exposition and the object of study is limited to the print of Sun Yat-sen literature.
