Data library is the foundation of the simulation of nuclear systems. There are five important evaluated nuclear data libraries in the world: BROND (Russian), ENDF (USA), JENDL (Japan), JEFF (Europe) and CENDL (China), which are developed on the basis of different experiments data and different processing models, i.e., the five libraries have some pertinences individually. So, as for the same nuclear system model and the same calculating code, the simulation results may vary greatly just because of the different selection of data library. In a word, the data library is very important for the simulation work of a nuclear system. The FDS (Fusion Design Study) Team of ASIPP (Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences) was formed to study possible approaches for the application of fusion energy, currently working for finding the feasibility application approaches of fusion energy with the study of concept design, simulation, development of related key techniques and specifying out the main issues and improving suggestions. A conceptual design of Fusion-Driven Sub-critical system (FDS), which involves fusion/fission coupled study, has been presented by the FDS team collaborating with other fusion study institutions and universities both home and abroad.A multi-dimensional transmission / burnup / optimization code system named VisualBUS and its data library named HENDLl.l/MG was home developed by the FDS team for this exploring Purpose. In this paper, HENDLl.l/MG and VisualBUSl.O were tested and evaluated by modeling a series of Benchmark experiments and some calculation models. As for the Benchmark test of HENDLl.l/MG, the method is to use the same code with two different nuclear data libraries named HENDLl.l/MG and JENDN-3/MG which is inherented by the code BISONC. On the other hand ,with regard to the Benchmark tests and evaluations of the VisualBUSl.O, we employ the same nuclear data library in order to achieve our Purpose. All the calculation results show that VisualBUSl.O is a reliable code system for neutron transport and burnup calculations and the nuclear data library HENDLl.l/MG is competent for the calculation and simulation work for nuclear system although there exist some minor improvements needed for several nuclides' cross sections.
