For many years, planar four-bar Linkage mechanism synthesizing is hotspot Of mechanism research. There are many methods to deal with this problem, but using the curve' characteristic spectrums to distinguish them is the most efficient and intuitionistic one. This paper mainly proposes a new method that neural network synthesize four-bar path generating linkages based on the cure's morphological shape spectrum and geometrical characteristics.To get the most accurate mechanism parameters of the aim curve, the paper synthesizes the mathematical morphological knowledge and digital image processing theory, extracts the curve's mathematical shape spectrums and geometrical characteristics respectively, and then combines the two parts as the characteristics of the curves. Afterwards, neural network linked the non-linear relationship between the curve's mechanism parameters and it's characteristics.The experiments data is very close to the ideal mechanism parameters, it also validate the effectiveness of the method. The neural network can get the curve's mechanism parameters almost in real time after it has be trained successfully. The network can also associate other mechanism parameters which don't belong to the learn examples. Thus it can be seen that the methods have important significance to the mechanism synthesis theory.
