Study On The Sideway-Force-Coefficient Test System

The sideway-force-coefficient measurement system is designed on the basis of the development of the measurement technique both at home and abroad, and the application of the sideway-force-coefficient in the analysis of the pavement condition index is also involved in the paper.The sideway-force-coefficient is brought into the analysis of the pavement condition index. Based on the neural network, some different data sources are used to observe how the sideway-force-coefficient influences the analysis of the pavement condition index, and some simulation experiments are carried out.Some theories and ways about the road skidding resistance are described, and then the sideway-force-coefficient measurement system is designed. The hardware system and the software are improved to solve the problems in data communication and the system requirement. The improvements to the hardware system include two parts, the USB data communication system and the PCI-bus video system. In the USB data communication, a new system is designed, which increases the processing speed. In the PCI-bus video system, the video control unit is well designed, connected with the operation management and the data processing. In the software part, the new program modules are programmed to perform the real-time video control and data statistic. It is demonstrated by experiment that the system can work in the state of reliable and stable. It is valuable for practice.
