The dissertation stems from the item "intelligence control to structure vibration in civil engineering"(50038010) importantly supported by the Fund of Country Physical Science.Since the technology of serial interface and parallel interface appeared in 1980, Universal Serial Bus of Intel has become the most important standard of computer peripheral component interconnect. It pursues in high speed and general to the peripheral component. USB has many virtues such as cheap, easy to use, insert and draw with electrification and high performance. Data acquisition system is a bridge between computers and outerside of the world. It is an important way to get imformation from outside. In this design, USB is adopted in the data acquisition system, and the data acquisition system based on USB is set up. The upper computer control greatly improves quarlities and efficiency of the data acquisition system, at the same time, investment of hardware is saved. At the end of the data acquisition system, Single Chip Micyoco controls the conversion from the Analog to the Digital. USB is used to transfer data between computers and Single Chip Micyocos.With the development of computer technology, digital signal processing has widely emploied and become necessary tool in morden technology. Discrete Fourier Transform is a special word for computers to Fourier Transform, so DFT is adapted for computers to caculate. Fast Fourier Transform is a kind of method to decrease the time used in DFT. MATLAB makes matrix and vector as basic data unit. It's abilities to matrix caculation stand out. Using MATLAB to analyse and process signal can fulfill heavy compute task and greatly improve efficiency. The analysis and process of vibrantion signal is based on the hardware of the data collection system and carried out by softwork. The signal analysis system is used to analysis and display. Softwork language in the signal analysis uses MATLAB.The whole design of data collection and signal analysis system is based on the signal in struture vibration. In the design, advanced USB and grown up Single Chip Micyoco's data collection system are combined closely, at the same time, MATLAB strongly compute abilities are adopted to the design of frequency analysis. The part of the data collection and the part of the signal analysis is both a whole part and two independence department to use lonely. This makes the design and use agility.
