Amplitude, phase, doppler frequency and polarization are the important information in the radar echo signal. Using target polarization characteristic can improve the radar target detection performance effectively.First, the paper has researched on the target detection of missile single pulse doppler radar. Based on the three-channel and two-dimensional single pulse doppler radar system, the paper has analyzed and done simulation experiments on the method of how to measure angle by single pulse in time domain and doppler domain. The paper also analyzes distinguishing ability and target detection performance of the pulse doppler radar in low Signal Interference Ratio and Signal Clutter Ratio conditions.Second, the paper has studied the theory and method of the monopulse radar polarization filtering. It has realized transmiting and receiving variable polarization by the dual-polarized transceiver antenna and the dual-polarized transmiting and receiving channel. The interference signal can be suppressed effectively by using polarization identifier and RF polarization filtering which is based on virtual polarization adaptive technology. Meanwhile, the RF polarization filter parameters and interfering signal polarization parameters are orthogonal. Choosing the proper polarization state of radar transmiting and receiving can get the optimized Signal Clutter Ratio. The simulation experiments have proved that the target angular accuracy and detection performance (target detection probability) can be improved greatly by using polarization filtering. At last, the paper has designed an angle measured system of monopulse terminal-guidance radar by using polarization information, and also given the method of target detection by using both the polarization and doppler information in the interference conditions. The simulation experiment shows that the method as said above has solved the problems of how to suppress both the angle cheating interference signal and speed cheating interference signal, and also improved the angle measured accuracy and target detection probability.
