With the rapid progress of multimedia technologies, Internet has gradually moved from a single data transmission network to the data, voice, image, video and other multimedia information on the integrated transmission network evolution. These multimedia applications on the network need more and more high quality of service (Quality of Service, QoS). In order to enhance the reliability of the network service, as well as balance network and server load, a new network model anycast is proposed in IPv6 to support the QoS service. The key point is to research and test anycast routing protocol based on QoS in general network simulation software NS2 platform. It first generalizes the development of anycast communication service, introduces the basic theory of QoS route and the NS2 simulation platform, analyses in details its simulation modeling. Second, in this foundation, NS2 functionality has been extended to cope with the anycast communication through the modification of existing data structure and node. A new anycast routing algorithm based on QoS is given. Finally, by means of script simulation programming, the paper carries out simulation experiments on the well-designed anycast routing algorithm, the paper shows that the algorithm is feasible and effective.By comarison with shortest traditional routing algorithm, it can be seen that this algorithm can balance network load and promote network resource unilization better.
