The Structure Research Of The Embedded System Middleware Platform

The middleware is a package of basic software with reusability. It is in the middle of theoperating system and application software. The main function of it is to provide the upper levelsoftware for developing and running environment, help users to develop and integrate complexsoftware quickly and efficiently. With wider scope of applications of the embedded devices, themiddleware is more and more applied.This paper conducts research on two typical middleware systems: CORBA and J2ME. Baseon the research result, the author comes up with a two-level middleware system,which includesan upper application developing environment and a lower application running environment. In thispaper, the whole system's SDK technology is used as the research focus, and the slide windowsand Huffman coding technology are used to compress the images used in the application, whichcan make the application as small as possible. One slight application can help the developerpromote his productions more easily. On the other hand, in this paper, the author also comes upwith an improved double interpolation and convolution method to do the interpolation of theimages resource used in the application. This operation can adjust the application to fit the newhardware's requirement. The author has developed a tool for completing the function, which isparticularly designed to modify the recourse images. At last, the investigation is conducted on theWidget interfaces in the developed middleware system, as well as the network informationextraction method of Widget. Based on the XML data type, the DOM model is used to extract thenet data, which is suggestive of a better test result.In the end, based on the results achieved, the whole system is designed. In this paper, thetransplant method of the middleware is not dealt with, because it varies from one embedded systemto another. To package all the interfaces will make the middleware too redundant, but this may betaken as the future research target. And the security authentication methods may also be included inthe author's future probe schedule.
