Wireless sensor network (WSN) gains a lot of concerns in recent years. WSN is multi-hop self-organized nerwork system, it is consist of many sensor nodes which are deployed in sensor areas, and it has expansive application foreground in many fields. The cuurent researches focus on efficient-effient, security and routing, but not deepley researches on congestion protcols, while congestion will cost a lot of local energy and shorten the lifetime of WSN. So we focus on congestion control method in wireless network.Firstly, a congestion detection and alleviation method is proposed in this paper, based on analyzing the congestion of navigation in wireless sensor network which uses the axis as the road map. And the. First, we set the user density of the road, and then according to the user density and the length of the road, we calculate the road capacity. Then we use the number of the user and the capacity to test if there is congestion occurred. If congestion is detected,we change the navigation path to ease the congestion and balance the load of the network.Secondly, a congestion detection and alleviation method is proposed in this paper, based on analyzing the congestion of navigation in wireless sensor network which use the average of neighbor nodes'hop-count to select the next node.We calculate the road capacity according the user traffic. If the number of people that pass the road is lagger than the road capcity in a time period, wu think there is congestion occurred. And the key sensor node according to seclecting a new next node to realize the congestion and balance the load of the network. Finally, the two congestion control methods are tested by simulation. And the effectiveness and the practicality of the two methos are verified through the simulation.
