With the development of computer technology, people are more and more dependent on information systems. How to ensure safely and steadily running of information system, especially data security, becomes the research hotspot of computer territory. In this paper, a disaster-tolerant structure based on heterogeneous databases is put forward to meet the demand of high data security for key operation systems, a data consistency maintenance technology that fits the disaster-tolerant model is provided, and then a heterogeneous-database-based disaster-tolerant management system middleware is designed and implemented. The primary works of this paper include:1. Several mainstream database-based data disaster-tolerant technologies are analyzed, and for their shortcomings, with the use of multi-layered client / server architecture, aiming at high availability, a disaster-tolerant framework based on heterogeneous databases is proposed.2. The concept of read consistency and write consistency is brought forth and a data consistency maintenance strategy between heterogeneous databases is designed based on this concept. The strategy can effectively reduce the impact on system performance, while maintaining the high efficiency of data processing.3. A data consistency recovery strategy based on the operation log redoing is designed. Combined with checkpoint technology, high-performance data recovery between heterogeneous databases can be implemented.4. Based on the technologies above, a prototype system of disaster-tolerant based on heterogeneous databases is designed and implemented, and test is carried out to verify the validity of the design.
